ReserveLa Fille Du Laitier is thrilled to announce the presentation of its show Macbeth Muet at the Dumfries & Galloway Arts Festival in Scotland, from May 28 to 30, 2026.

In a frenzied and bloody adaptation of the ill-fated couple’s downfall, Macbeth Muet deconstructs Shakespeare’s work through visceral theatre. Inspired by silent films, flirting with grand guignol and melodrama, this wordless adaptation of Macbeth transports us with humour into a frantic race for power. Bodies, objects and fake blood intertwine in a world devoid of morality where human lives prove as fleeting as disposable cups.
In Macbeth Muet, Macbeth, a soldier loyal to his nation, encounters three witches on the battlefield who predict he will be king. Following this revelation, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth choose the bloody path of ambition, betrayal and power.
Driven by an intense soundtrack, the performer-puppeteers deliver a dizzying choreography.
