Macbeth Muet at CRAPO de Lanaudière

The La Fille Du Laitier company will participate in the Lanaudière International Festival from July 21 to 27, 2026. During the event, five (5) free performances of Macbeth Muet

will be presented in various municipalities across the region: Saint-Cléophas-de-Brandon, Saint-Félix-de-Valois, Notre-Dame-des-Prairies, and Joliette.

Synopsis

In a frenzied and blood-soaked adaptation of the doomed couple’s downfall, Macbeth Muet deconstructs Shakespeare’s work through visceral theatre. Inspired by silent films, and flirting with Grand Guignol and melodrama, this wordless adaptation of Macbeth sweeps us away with humour in a frantic race toward power. Bodies, objects and fake blood intertwine in a world devoid of morality, where human lives prove as fleeting as disposable cups.

In Macbeth Muet, Macbeth, a soldier loyal to his nation, encounters three witches on the battlefield who predict that he will become king. Following this revelation, Macbeth and Lady Macbeth choose the bloody path of ambition, betrayal and power.
